Ashford Top Whorl Drop Spindles

Drop spindles are one of the oldest methods of spinning fiber into yarn. The Top Whorl Drop Spindle is lacquered and made from Silver Beech hardwood. Students use the 80mm size in our Drop Spindle Basics class. 

The imperial wheel diameter of the 80mm drop spindle 3 1/8 inches, and the 60mm drop spindle is 2 3/8 inches.
