Knitting for Olive's vision is to offer high-quality yarns made of natural fibers created with respect for both the animals and our environment. They are a family-run business based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Their vision has been to create a delicate, environmental and animal friendly yarn. All of their yarns are traceable, meaning they know exactly what farms their yarns come from.
The wool is RAF (Responsible Animal Fibers) certified, which means there are strict regulations to secure animal and social welfare for farmers. The mohair comes from Angora goats bred in South Africa, and is certified sustainable and RMS (Responsible Mohair Standard). Their silk is cruetly-free; the fibers are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths and escape.
