7 Seas Top

Kick your knitting into high gear with the 7 Seas Top by Woolen Tales. Students will learn skills that are commonly used in knitted garments: working in the round, German short rows, and the raglan sleeve construction. The icing on the cake is the stranded colorwork, which makes the waves that are central to the design of this breezy summer top.

In the first session we will work on the upper yoke shaping with German short rows. In the second session we will tackle the upper colorwork section. And in the third session we will separate the body and sleeves, work one sleeve, and finish with the I-cord bind-off.

We will not be able to knit the entire top during class time. Students are expected to complete homework before the first session and in between class sessions in order to keep up with the project.

We will meet for three evening sessions:

Session One: Wednesday, June 10th  6:00pm - 8:00pm

Session Two: Wednesday, June 24th  6:00pm - 8:00pm

Session Three: Wednesday, July 8th  6:00pm - 8:00pm

Prerequisites: Students need to be able to cast on, bind off, knit and purl, weave in ends, join a new ball of yarn, pick up a dropped stitch, increase and decrease. 

Materials to bring: 

• 7 Seas Pattern by Woolen Tales (available on Ravelry)
• Yarn, needles and tools to complete pattern in chosen size. 
• Please visit Moonspun Wool if you need assistance with yarn and needle choices. Participants get a 10% discount on class materials. 

Refund and Cancellation Policy:  There are no class refunds. If you need to cancel, we are happy to extend your payment to the next available class or offer in-store credit. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled class in order for payment to transfer. If class minimum is not met, students will be notified via email of class cancellation and refunded the course fee.
