Freia Fine Handpaint Yarns
Fingering Shawl
Fingering Shawl
This custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment and is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single, it is strong from the dyeing process which very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking.
With over 400 yards per ball you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm. Use two, and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days. Gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project.
