Beginning Knitting

Beginning Knitting is for those with little to no knitting experience. Over the course of three sessions, students will knit a face cloth and begin a second. We will learn basic knitting stitches, and also touch on types of needles, yarn selection, and knitted fabric. This is a three-week class that meets for three 1.5 hour sessions.

Materials to bring:

• One skein of worsted weight cotton yarn
  
• One pair of US 10 straight knitting needles
  

Skills you will learn:

• Week One: Cast on, knit and purl
  
• Week Two: Begin first face cloth, learn to increase and decrease stitches
• Week Three: Finish first face cloth and learn to cast off

Refund and Cancellation Policy: There are no class refunds. If you need to cancel, we are happy to extend your payment to the next available class or offer in-store credit. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled class in order for payment to transfer. If class minimum is not met, students will be notified via email of class cancellation and refunded the course fee.

3-6 participants, ages 16 and up. Participants get a 10% discount on class materials purchased at Moonspun Wool.
