Beginning Crochet is intended for those with little to no crochet experience. We will learn basic crochet skills, including how to hold a crochet hook, yarn tension, slip knots, chain and single crochet stitches.
This beginning crochet class has two sessions. Participants can choose to sign up for one or both sessions. We will focus on the same skills in both sessions, however if you want more practice or have questions, you are welcome to attend both. We might have time to learn additional crochet skills the second week depending on how far students have progressed.
Session One: Saturday, April 5th 11am-1pm
Session Two: Saturday, April 12th. 11am-1pm
Instructor: Nicole Johnson
Provided materials: One small skein of worsted weight yarn and a 5mm crochet hook will be provided.
Materials to bring:
- An additional skein of worsted (4) weight yarn
- Tapestry needle
Skills you will learn:
- Slip knots
- Chain stitch
- Single crochet stitch
- Fastening off
Refund and Cancellation Policy: There are no class refunds. If you need to cancel, we are happy to extend your payment to the next available class, or offer in-store credit. Payments will be refunded if class minimum participation is not met.
3-6 participants, ages 18 and up. Participants get a 10% discount on class materials purchased at Moonspun Wool.
